The True Battle Is Against Communist China

The True Battle Is Against Communist China

President Trump’s move to dismantle Iran’s nuclear capabilities is, understandably, being seen as a major win. It showcases the might of the US military while illustrating how precise actions can help reduce tensions. It’s a clear demonstration of achieving peace through strength.

Yet, as we redirect our attention back to the Middle East, there’s also the looming threat of China that can’t be overlooked. While Russia’s activities in Ukraine grab headlines, it’s the conflict with China that truly poses the more significant risk to our national safety. This ongoing new Cold War, which many in power have been hesitant to acknowledge, should be a key focus for the Trump administration moving forward. It’s going to require serious effort.

When Marxist ideologies began to infiltrate our educational institutions, it was a well-planned strategy. Nowadays, many American universities have turned into ideological strongholds that undermine core American principles. The students they train often come from leftist backgrounds in Europe or are connected to leaders within the Chinese Communist Party.

But it’s not just a trickle of Chinese students; at Harvard, around a quarter of the international students hail from China, with even higher figures at schools like Columbia and Duke. Reports indicate that China remains the largest consumer of educational services, contributing approximately $14.3 billion in 2023 alone.

It seems we’re almost surrendering our academic institutions to train the next generation of leaders for our most strategic competitor. Considering the average income in China is under $14,000 annually, it’s likely that these students are either heavily subsidized by the government or come from elite circles.

Moreover, these students need permission from the Communist government to travel abroad, and they often must comply with directives that may include providing information or even acting as informants. Some Democrats worry about the restrictions, claiming they make it harder for students to come study here. But the reality is, many of these Chinese students aren’t enrolling in the typical liberal studies programs—they’re focused on more practical fields.

While we’re caught up in discussions about educational policies and cultural debates, the Chinese are emphasizing science and engineering to promote stronger academic results. The Trump administration is right to question the overall cost of allowing such access. Historically, the Soviets would not have granted similar entry to our universities or vital sectors. We should reconsider this access.

The notion of transforming these students, backed by the CCP, into advocates of democracy might have been a reasonable aspiration in the past. However, chasing this dream has arguably weakened us as a nation. Regaining leverage against China involves addressing more than just their educational policies.

Today, China controls a staggering 88% of the active ingredients in the medications we rely on. This includes industries that have a vested interest in our well-being—it’s a concerning situation.

In addition, China is a major supplier of food additives commonly used in processed foods. The trend of increasing imports from China dates back to 1979, and it has only intensified. The WH Group, a Chinese entity, acquired Smithfield Foods back in 2013, showing just how far their influence extends into American brands.

Moreover, two operatives recently captured while attempting to smuggle harmful biological agents into the US were connected to funding from the Chinese government, illustrating the risks posed by such ties to our national safety.

It’s essential to recognize that every company with ties to China is linked to the CCP. The Party exercises full control over these entities, having the authority to manage assets and intrusively collect data.

Then there are political figures, such as Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs, who may overlook the implications of Chinese ownership of domestic land. They currently hold substantial ownership of farmland across the country, along with high-profile properties like the Waldorf Astoria.

Restrictions on Chinese interests in real estate should certainly be on the agenda for the Trump administration and Congress as well. There’s a pressing concern about the CCP’s infiltration into government and its contractors, similar to past threats posed by Soviet intelligence. Prioritizing the removal of Chinese operatives from influential positions is crucial.

The philosophical underpinnings that align with deep state ideologies seem to resonate with communist thinking, which poses a challenge to American freedoms. And let’s not forget: drugs have become another potent tool in this fight against us. There are increasing reports of illegal marijuana cultivation and the trafficking of substances like fentanyl, which is targeting Americans across the country.

Moreover, China’s technological advancements pose fresh challenges for the US, affecting every citizen. We seem to have limited defenses against potential electromagnetic threats.

The use of platforms like TikTok raises concerns as they can manipulate public sentiment in the US, potentially inciting unrest. The next time there’s a major protest, it might be worth considering whether these actions are being orchestrated as part of a larger strategy.

Because China, quite frankly, is in a state of warfare with us—not just a cold war, but rather a series of tactical manipulations that are far more pervasive and aggressive than what we experienced with the Soviets. They’re attempting to undermine both our people and our morale.

Regardless of what the political landscape thinks, it’s time to take significant action. Achieving success, in any realm, comes down to leverage. Sadly, we’ve surrendered a lot of that leverage to those who wish us harm. Among the many legacies of President Trump’s time in office, reclaiming our position against communist China is among the most pressing for our national security and freedoms.
