UN Struggles with Aid Delivery to Gaza Amidst GHF Success
The UN faces ongoing challenges in delivering assistance to Palestinians in Gaza, with numerous trucks stuck at the border while the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) makes notable progress.
Israel is actively funneling humanitarian aid into Gaza, swiftly moving trucks through border crossings and coordinating support from Israel, Jordan, and the UAE.
On Friday, the GHF, which employs private security contractors for its operations, distributed 100 million meals and is continuously broadening its aid efforts.
The United Nations has criticized the GHF, as Hamas perceives the rise of alternative aid organizations as a threat due to their inability to redirect trucks.
However, data shared with Breitbart News from sources associated with Israeli forces indicated that there has been no increase in aid distribution following the UN’s initial surge at the onset of the crisis.
According to a memo from the Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (Cogat), on Friday, the UN and other organizations collected 201 trucks in Gaza. This number rose from fewer than 120 on July 25 to over 200 by July 28, yet it has stagnated since then. The memo stated, “United Nations mechanisms can’t keep up with distribution, and aid is being trapped within Gaza instead of reaching civilians.” In contrast, the GHF ensures aid is directly delivered to civilians without buildup during their entries into Gaza.
On another note, the most reliable evidence of starvation in Gaza emerged recently, with videos showing hostages held by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad suffering from hunger.
