U.S. Victories Under Trump, According to Senator
In a recent discussion, Senator Mark Wayne Marin (R-OK) shared his views on the ongoing successes during President Donald Trump’s administration, emphasizing what he sees as a positive trajectory for the country.
When asked about the implications of a significant bill’s potential passage, Marin responded with a rhetorical question: “Are you tired of winning?”
He expressed confidence in Trump’s leadership, saying, “That’s a victory when there’s a president who understands what to do and how to lead. He knows the economy and recognizes what needs to happen. He grasps the concept of peace through strength.” Marin further elaborated on how Trump has re-established respect among global leaders, contrasting this with what he perceives as a lack of direction under former President Joe Biden.
Marin articulated a view that the United States plays a crucial role in global peace, stating, “If the U.S. isn’t leading, then who will? Without our presence, a leadership vacuum emerges, causing others to take charge from different standpoints. We’re leading from a framework of peace, while others may aim for conquest.”
He further clarified that the U.S. is not seeking to dominate any nation but aims to foster stability and peace in the region, echoing Trump’s sentiment.
Frustrated, Marin noted, “Despite the challenges, the achievement regarding Iran’s nuclear capabilities is substantial—though, for some, acknowledging this success seems difficult.” He highlighted the importance of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, which he deemed a significant global safety measure.
Marin described Trump as a pioneer in curbing Iran’s nuclear ambitions, reflecting on the ceasefire and peace talks between Israel and Iran that followed Trump’s efforts. “What were you expecting? Ambassadors across the Middle East commended Trump for his role in this,” he added.
As he discussed the broader implications, he emphasized Trump’s focus: “He is not just restoring peace but also managing trade discussions and tariffs effectively.”
Marin mentioned a recent conversation he had with Trump, humorously noting that the president had made what he estimated to be around a thousand calls that day. “He joked about how often he’s on the phone,” Marin said, conveying his admiration for Trump’s dedication and energy.
Reflecting on his experiences with the former president, Marin concluded, “It’s impressive—every day I’m around him, I find it amazing.”
