Jasmine Good Joins the Cast This Season
This season on valley, Jasmine Good is joining the mix! A Bachelor Nation alum and former cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys, Good isn’t new to drama. Fortunately, she has the support of her partner, Melissa Marie. Recently, while vacationing in Europe, they both proposed to each other in Lake Como and Mallorca. “We ended up having a double engagement,” Good shared. “It was the sweetest romantic thing.”
Good had a bit of a challenge with co-star Danny Book during a Halloween party; it became a bit too hectic with drinks flowing. “It was an interesting situation for Jesse,” she reflected. At first, the dynamics were tricky. After a heartfelt discussion among Good, Marie, and Book, they concluded the importance of addressing the issues with Danny. “I’ve cut off friends in the past due to how they treated me and Melissa,” Good stated. Thankfully, she feels content in her relationship with both Danny and his wife, Nia.
During a recent trip to Santa Barbara, Jason Caperna brought up Book’s drinking habits related to the Halloween incident. Meanwhile, rumors started about Caperna not wearing a wedding ring when out. Good finds herself entangled in this unfolding drama. “Kristen stands by her friends,” she mentioned. “If someone she cares about gets hurt, she’s going to defend them.” However, Good is skeptical of the rumors surrounding Caperna. “I really don’t think Jason is doing anything to hurt Janet,” she asserted.
Good visited Desader Studio to discuss how the season has progressed, upcoming reunions, and her stance on the unfolding conflicts.
Congratulations on your engagement! How did Melissa’s proposal happen?
Jasmine Good: We both ended up getting engaged. She proposed to me in Lake Como, and it was stunning. Interestingly, she suggested we do a TikTok together, but she typically doesn’t want to. So when she brought it up, I kind of guessed something was brewing. It really was romantic. I had planned something special along the waterfront in Mallorca, hiring a photographer nearby without her knowing. When she noticed the photographer, she wondered why someone was watching us, and I just played it cool. Thankfully, it ended up being a lovely moment. [laughs]
Which of your co-stars were aware of your engagement before it happened?
Kristen, Brittany, and Zach were in the loop. I felt so excited, so right after it happened, I called Brittany and Zach to share the news. It was a sweet experience.
Let’s discuss the drama with Danny. Was it surreal to see your situation play out on screen?
It was intriguing, to say the least. Initially, when Jesse brought it up, I thought we needed to have that conversation. It’s important for us to be genuine about our experiences, even if it makes some feel uneasy.
After Danny’s second apology, he seemed to grasp why his actions were disrespectful. Why was it crucial for that conversation to happen on-camera?
It was vital for that discussion to occur with Danny. While he’s apologized multiple times, his approach initially didn’t sit right with me. I wanted him to understand why I felt uncomfortable and triggered, as this is something I have dealt with before. Friendships have ended for me over similar issues, and I needed him to recognize that if he wanted to maintain our friendship, he had to respect my relationship with Melissa.
Your choice to address the issue instead of cutting him off shows you care about him.
Absolutely. If I didn’t value him, it would’ve been easy to walk away. But I think he’s a decent guy, and I wanted him to understand how his actions affected me.
Where do you stand in your friendship with him now?
We’ve worked things out and I’m really pleased. I care about both Danny and Nia, and I’m glad we had that chat.
Jason really stepped up to confront Danny also. Were you thankful to have his support?
Yes, for sure! Jason understood my point of view more than anyone else. We go way back, and I appreciated his backing because not everyone on the show initially got it. I’m thankful he recognized where I was coming from.
Some fans believe Jason brought up Danny’s sobriety in line with Janet’s influence. Do you think she guided his conversation?
People assume Janet told Jason he needed to say something. I doubt she pushed him, but living together means they likely discussed it. Maybe he changed his perspective after those talks.
What’s your take on Janet’s intentions?
Janet is very vocal, which might lead others to think she’s directing Jason’s feelings. I don’t necessarily believe that’s true, but you never know.
How did the rumor about Jason originate?
This rumor sprang up a few years back when the group was divided. I think people were upset and said things hastily. I never bought into it at the time, it just seemed exaggerated.
I see what you mean.
Others have heard the same things too. It’s known that Jason has a certain dynamic with Janet. But honestly, their relationship seems solid. I don’t believe Jason is doing anything to harm her.
Have you felt pressure to choose sides between Team Janet or Team Kristen throughout the season?
Not really. I just observed behaviors that made me question certain actions. For instance, I didn’t particularly like how Janet treated Kristen and Zack, which made me reconsider my stance on her.
You’re on Team Brittany Cart Light. Do you envision a co-parenting relationship developing between Brittany and Jax Taylor?
That’s hard to say. Jax has a history of causing issues, and Brittany is in a phase of moving forward. He tends to bring negativity, which complicates things. If he adjusts his behavior, there might be a better future for them.
What’s your opinion on the seating arrangement for the reunion? Were you comfortable being seated between Jason and Zack?
It was my first reunion, and I was just excited to be there. I honestly didn’t care where I was seated, even though others were upset about some arrangements. I was just happy to be among friends.
Will you feel relieved after experiencing the reunion, or is it a daunting task?
I was pretty nervous and remember feeling overwhelmed. But I think we covered everything important. It felt like a successful first reunion.
Did you communicate everything you needed to address?
Yes, I got my points across. It’s frustrating when people grow distant when they need to think about how they express themselves—like starting a podcast. I’m glad I had the discussions I needed, and I think we’re all okay now.
One last thing: what’s the story behind the Monster Energy Mini Fridge at Zack’s kitchen counter?
[Laughs] He’s had that fridge for ages. He just really enjoys his Monster Energy drinks.
Does he keep any drinks in it?
I don’t think it’s stocked with Monster drinks. It seems to be more of a storage for liquor and mixers. He loves that fridge!
