Whoopi Goldberg, while she often makes political statements, reminds everyone that: The View, She was never considered a journalist.
On this morning's episode of the popular daytime talk show, the women had a heated debate about what's next. morning joe Is the backlash that host Joe Scarborough and his wife Mika Brzezinski are receiving from viewers as they meet with President-elect Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago justified?
“You know what I'm not? I'm not a journalist. I'll start with that,” Goldberg said after Joy Behar criticized the couple. “My feelings on this are very different.”
For Mr. Goldberg, if going to see Mr. Trump made him feel better, it shouldn't matter.
“If people feel like they need to do something, let them do what they need to do,” she said. “Do you think they had to go? Does it matter? They went! And they explain. And why not let someone say, 'That's why I did it.' I don't know. And move on. ”
According to the host, the “headwind” Scarborough and Brzezinski are getting is “ [her] problem. ”
“Everything has blowback, so you never get anywhere,” she fumed. “because [people] It becomes very difficult to say, “You know what?” I feel I need to do this for my own peace of mind. I know this guy. I don't like what he did, but I know I need to talk more about him, so I'll leave it at that. ”Let these people do what they have to do! ”

While Mr. Behar argued that talk show hosts (such as Mr. Scarborough and Mr. Brzezinski) are different from investigative journalists, Mr. Goldberg offered a different perspective.
“This is why I say I'm not a journalist. We're portrayed as journalists because that's what people think we've done.” [school] “I didn’t go to school,” she said. “I went to school until the 8th grade.”
Alyssa Farrar Griffin agreed, calling herself “someone with partisan views” and “still meeting and asking questions about the topics I talk about regularly.”
