Frozen waffles recalled due to listeria risk
In a release Friday, Treehouse Foods recalled its frozen waffles due to a possible listeria outbreak. The brand sells its products in commercial stores in the United States and Canada. The company said the issue was discovered this week during routine testing at its manufacturing facility. “Consumers should check their freezers for any of the above products and either throw them away or return the recalled products to their storage location.

How Hurricane Helen threatens dialysis patients
Although Hurricane Helen has passed, its ripple effects continue across the country, with supply chain shocks putting tens of thousands of dialysis patients at risk of losing access to life-saving care. Hospitals warned that the U.S. health care system would be severely impacted if Baxter International's North Carolina facility were to close due to Helen. These harms are becoming clearer now, almost three weeks later.
