‘The Wingfeather Saga’ Creators Tease Thrilling Season 3 Saying ‘New Dangers Waiting for Them’

The creators of 'The Wingfeather Saga' recently revealed what will happen in season 3 of the animated series. In Season 3, the Wingfeather family takes refuge in the icy subterranean city of Praise of Ice, where they encounter unexpected dangers that change their journey.

“We're really looking forward to welcoming fans back to Season 3 next year. The family will find a place that will be a safe haven of sorts, but new dangers await them. It's a storyline that changes the family and the series in a big way,'' Wall said.

Like the first two seasons, Season 3 of 'Wingfeather Saga' delves further into complex themes and deeper narratives as the story progresses.

“Season 3 will go further into the world and explore darker themes. Fans of the original series will know that the story is even deeper and more complex. We have only scratched the surface. That's all,” Wall said.

At this year's Dove Awards, Season 2 of “Wingfeather Saga” was nominated for Best TV Series of the Year, but lost to “Chasing Kane.”

Stearns and Wall told CP they were “honored” to be nominated in the category for the second year in a row, and to see the series continue to grow in popularity with families and younger viewers. He said he was excited.

“It was a shock to be here last year for Season 1. It felt very celebratory for the fans who love the series. And I’m really happy to be here again for Season 2. It’s about discovering the show,” Stearns said.

“We hear from families, especially those who homeschool, that they relate to the Wingfeathers because they're similar to them. They not only love each other, but they truly love each other. You’re looking at families,” Wall said. .

“Kids watch the show and then go off and play as the characters. They act out these adventures and connect with the world that we've built,” Stearns added.

The largest crowdfunded family animated series in history, Wingfeather Saga is produced by Angel Studios and based on the best-selling book by Andrew Peterson.
