‘They want you to hate’: Jonathan Isaac slams President Biden’s Transgender Visibility Day on Easter as divisive

NBA player Jonathan Isaac has spoken out against President Biden’s Transgender Visibility Day, calling it divisive and promoting hatred.

The president made declaration March 31, 2024 will be known as Transgender Visibility Day to “honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans.”

“I am proud to have appointed transgender leaders to my administration and lifted the ban on transgender Americans from serving openly in the military. I am proud to sign a historic executive order that strengthens protections for people’s rights, our justice system, and more,” the president said.

This special day, which of course fell on the same day as Easter Sunday, received a lot of criticism, including from Isaac of the Orlando Magic.

In two apparently deleted X posts, Isaac initially said the administration knew exactly what it was doing.

“They want you to hate! This helps no one and only fosters division,” Isaac wrote. america first newsroom. “They know exactly what they are doing. We should be angry, but we must not lose the spirit of what tomorrow means. Don’t lose focus. Please, the Lord is risen, and there is hope for all.”

In a second post, Isaac appeared to retract his comments, saying that the same day as Easter in 2023 would not be celebrated by the Biden administration.

“In the name of fairness, Biden admitted that last year was not that day.” [Easter]! That is important and, to me, it frees the administration from any suspicion of intent. Instead of deleting the tweet like nothing happened, this is my sincere retraction lol…” Isaac wrote.

of 2023 Declaration Indeed, we designated the same date for gender-focused events.

At the same time, President Biden completely denied signing the declaration in response to questions from reporters.

At the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, reporters asked Biden to respond to criticism from House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana). who called Biden’s transgender and Easter crossover is ‘outrageous and abhorrent’.

But the president surprised reporters by saying he had never signed such a document.

“He’s a total clueless,” Biden said of Johnson, according to the pool report. “I didn’t do that.”

This naturally raised the question of whether Biden knew he had signed such a declaration, or whether he had forgotten that he had signed it, or whether it was the president who signed it in the first place.

The 2023 statement differs slightly from the 2024 statement, in which the president called for an end to “violence and discrimination against all transgender, gender nonconforming, and nonbinary people.” In 2024, it was expanded to call for an end to “violence and discrimination based on gender identity.”

As for Isaac, he recently stood by his decision to speak at Charlie Kirk’s Believers Summit and said that he is definitely a conservative on X.

“Politically I’m a conservative. So I said that.”

“My way of creating change is to actively engage with people who don’t look like me with the gospel of Jesus Christ. It does not disqualify you,” he added.
