AJC Her+Story: Executive Unplugged

Katie Saez, a University of Florida graduate, started her career at the former SunTrust Bank right after college. Now, she proudly holds the position of Georgia regional president for Truist.

Upon graduating with a degree in business administration, Saez faced a bit of uncertainty regarding her career path. Yet, her entry into SunTrust’s commercial banking training program allowed her to dive deep into the many facets of the business world.

As years went by, she climbed the ranks within the bank, playing an instrumental role in the system integration during the 2019 merger of SunTrust with BB&T, which led to the creation of Truist. Since 2022, she has occupied the regional president role in Georgia, working from a corner office in the Truist Plaza skyscraper located in downtown Atlanta.
