This new PGA Tour shirt encapsulates what Scottie Scheffler is all about

When you watch Scotty Scheffler play, you can tell by his footwork that his swing and balance are perfect.

Still, he rarely hits the ball on the ropes and misses the center of the clubface. It seems impossible, but Scheffler is the best player in the world, even though his legs say otherwise.

This week, he also won his third consecutive Player of the Year award, matching Tiger Woods as the only player to accomplish this feat. With nine wins, a green jacket and a gold medal in Paris, it was no surprise that Scheffler would win the award again, as 91% of PGA Tour members voted him Player of the Year.

His historic season featured many notable moments, but one that stands out was Sunday's charge at TPC Sawgrass, where he led the team to a one-point victory over The Players. vehemently counterattacked. On that day, he shot a final round 64, coming from five back to finish one shot ahead of Brian Herman, Xander Schauffele and Windham Clark. His victory also marked the first time he had won back-to-back Players titles.

But during the second round earlier in the week, Scheffler's tee shot on the short par-4 12th became a hot topic on social media.

Patrick MacDonald of CBS Sports I posted a screenshot of Scheffler's swing below. Look where his feet are. Next, observe the flight trajectory of the ball.

That's great:

Josh Segal tweeted the quote The screenshot reads, “If Scotty makes consecutive appearances, this should be the new logo for The Players.”

Scheffler did just that, leading Taylor Ryan, a talented member of the PGA Tour's social media team, in creating the latest Players Championship logo featuring the “Scheffler Shuffle.”

The Tour then printed this new logo on T-shirts sold at the PGA Tour Superstore. The back of the shirt includes Schaeffler's list of 2024 honors.

Best of all, the revenue generated from these shirts is The organization behind every doora Dallas-based charity that is very close to Scheffler's heart. Behind Every Door provides underserved populations with the opportunity to “reach their God-given potential” while helping them improve their lives.

Schaeffler has very strong beliefs. He and his caddy, Ted Scott, participate in a Bible study almost every week on tour, and his good friend Sam Burns is also a member of the group.

But this new shirt incorporates all the great qualities that make Schaeffler human. That just sums up what he's all about.
