A spokesperson for the Moreno Valley Unified School District told KABC that the teacher will be placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the review.

“I think they were trying to make him seem like the bad guy because of what he said,” Michael James, who was in class Wednesday, told the station. “It was a very strong tone. I know that, but that's his attitude.” This is his lecture as a professor. ”
James told KABC that he believes the teacher's words were “appropriate. I didn't take it the wrong way.” She also told the station that he “plans to apologize one-on-one after class.”
