On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher said this year’s Democratic National Convention in Chicago will be a repeat of the tumultuous 1968 Democratic National Convention, also held in Chicago. I predicted it would be. The “new cause” is “Hamas, to be on their side.”
Ma said: “I was 12 years old when this event was held in Chicago in 1968. It was like my baptism into politics and I was like, wow, this is interesting stuff happening on TV, and I I know this is politics — but [were] There were hippies on the street and the police were beating them to death, and it was really dramatic. And it will happen again, because the kids will be chanting about Genocide Joe in droves, because this is their new cause. They think this is why Hamas has been on their side for the rest of his life. So I’m wondering how the Democratic Party will come out of that convention. Because I remember the last time it happened in Chicago, they bled over it and Nixon won the White House. ”
