On FNC’s “Hannity” on Friday, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), the chair of the House Republican Conference, told stand-in host Kayleigh McEnany that the House Republican Party would not support Jewish students in American colleges and universities. He said he was expanding the investigation into threats against students.
She said the threat to Jewish students, especially foreign students in the U.S. on student visas, is a “real threat” across higher education.
“It’s going to be part of the entire House Republican investigation, Kayleigh,” she said. “That’s why it’s so important that we expand this investigation, not only because of U.S. taxpayer oversight of these institutions, but also because of the student visas of foreign students who are harassing Jewish students. , because visas for foreign students who are attacking Jewish students on campus are also an issue.”
“The outside agitators have absolutely insisted that we need to work with law enforcement to get to the bottom of this, and we are committed to doing so,” Stefanik continued. . “Take Columbia, for example. The New York City Police Department released data showing that over 40% of individuals were outside the company and had no connection to Columbia. There are still professors and students at Columbia University, and they need to be expelled. That’s why these studies are so important.”
“And then I saw my question go viral in the hearing, and the answer was a morally bankrupt answer from the presidents of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University, and I saw that the question across higher education that had been brewing for a very long time. It created a real crisis,” she said. Added. “And it’s the House Republicans who will protect Jewish students, specifically denounce anti-Semitism, and eliminate woke radicalization.
