Three arrested after dead puppy found in pizza box inside ‘deplorable’ Michigan house

Nelson was charged with resisting arrest in the fight against theft, possession of drugs and fighting a counter-official officer, the sheriff said.

The boy was caring for child protection services and two hungry dogs were sent to the rescue centre, he said.

Walker and Ashbaker are held on a $10,000 bond, while Nelson is held on a $5,000 bond, court records say.

“If you're in a position where you can't care for children or animals, then in this case don't treat them the way we saw them,” the sheriff said.

“Because we will come for you and hold you accountable.”
