Carjacker’s Wild Pursuit Involving Young Boys Ends in Injury
Three young boys became part of a terrifying incident in California when a carjacker led them on a frantic chase that resulted in a serious crash in Malibu.
Mamatelsa Tax had briefly left her three sons, all under the age of 10, outside a store in East Los Angeles on a Friday afternoon.
She recounted her horror, saying, “You see a stranger in the car with your child. Your child’s frightened, desperate for mom… and you just watch as someone drives away with them.”
The father of the boys attempted to prevent the suspect from escaping, tragically getting dragged into the car and sustaining a chest injury during the struggle.
This led to a high-speed police chase, which took a dangerous turn when the suspect collided with another vehicle, injuring all three boys in a quiet area of Malibu.
After the crash, the carjacker fled on foot into a wooded area but was soon captured by the California Highway Patrol.
As for the injuries, the seven-year-old boy suffered a dislocated lower back, while the nine-year-old experienced a concussion, and the two-year-old sustained stomach injuries.
Fortunately, all three boys were reported to have been released from UCLA Children’s Hospital by Sunday.
In a moment of disbelief, the boys’ father expressed his shock at the situation, stating, “We never imagined this could happen to us.”
