Three Israeli Soldiers Killed in Booby-Trapped Gaza Building

The military said three more soldiers were seriously injured in the same incident, but gave no further details. Reuters Reports.

Israeli public broadcaster Kan Radio said the casualties were caused by an explosive device detonating inside the Rafah building.

The man’s death highlights the dangers of having IDF ground forces storm buildings infested with Hamas terrorists, rather than through bombing, a recent tactic.

of The Israel Times Reports All three killed soldiers were with the 50th Battalion of the Nahal Brigade.

Their deaths bring to 291 the number of Israeli soldiers killed during the IDF’s ground offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip and operations along the border, the media said.

Israel has conducted limited operations in eastern Rafah, along the Gaza-Egypt border, and said it would continue.

Israeli leaders have said their troops need to enter Rafah to crush Hamas’ terror campaign and return hostages taken in the October 7 terror attack that sparked the war.
