CBS Sports Television reporter Amanda Balionis said interviewing Tiger Woods would physically affect her before and during the interview.
The 39-year-old journalist said: Links Magazine When asked who she was most nervous to interview when it came to Woods, she said she couldn’t sleep before the interview, adding that her legs were shaking the entire time the interview was going on.
“It was really good that the camera angle was from the waist up. I was so nervous my legs were shaking. I didn’t get much sleep before the interview,” Balionis said.

Balionis’ first interview with Woods came soon after she began working as an on-air host for PGATour.com in 2011. It was Balionis’ second interview with the site, after she moved to CBS in 2017.
In 2011, Woods was 35 and in the midst of a comeback after a two-year hiatus from golf. He took a voluntary retirement from professional golf from December 2009 to early April 2010 to resolve marital problems with his then-wife, Elin. Woods admitted to multiple infidelities, and the couple eventually divorced.
His performance declined that year, he suffered a foot injury at the Masters, and by November 2011 he had dropped to 58th in the world rankings.
Still, there were good moments. That year he won the Chevron World Challenge by one stroke, his first victory in more than two years, and he also beat Aaron Baddeley, 4 and 3, to help the United States win the Presidents Cup at Royal Melbourne in Australia, 19-15.

Woods himself has been struggling with sleep deprivation lately. A week after the July 13 assassination attempt on Donald Trump, he told BBC Sport that the news was making him feel mentally unwell and was causing him to lose sleep.
“It was a long night [because of the assassination attempt]”I watched it the whole flight,” Woods said of his visit to Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland to play in the British Open. “I didn’t sleep a penny on the plane, and then I got to the golf course.”

Woods has won 15 major championships, including three at the British Open, He last won in 2006, but his performances over the past two years have raised concerns about his future in the sport.
This year will mark the first time Woods has played in all four major tournaments since 2019. Masters Record After missing 24 consecutive cuts at Augusta National, he was eliminated from the PGA Championship and U.S. Open over the weekend.
