Sunny Hostin told her co-hosts on ABC’s “The View” on Friday that even though Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) was chosen as the Republican vice presidential nominee, black voters don’t want to vote for Donald Trump. He said it won’t help former President Trump.
Hostin said, “I want to say on behalf of African-American voters that if anyone thinks Tim Scott is going to bring in a bunch of black men because the audience is so loud, they seriously don’t.” You have to accept that. There’s a reason Tim Scott is the only African American senator in the Republican Party.”
Co-host Alyssa Farrar Griffin said, “There aren’t that many Democrats either, one or two?”
Hostin said, “Yeah, but there are people like Hakeem Jeffries. There are people like Cory Booker. There are people like Kamala Harris, former senator and current vice president of the United States.” We have former President Obama.”
Co-host Ana Navarro said, “I feel like Tim Scott has accomplished so much more in the realm of kissing than Marco Rubio.” Marco Rubio hasn’t said it publicly, but I love Donald Trump.”
Co-host Joy Behar said, “Didn’t he actually say the words ‘I love you’ to Donald Trump?”
Hostin said, “Yes, and I can tell you that a lot of people vomited in their mouths.”
