Former President Donald Trump addressed NRA members for the ninth time Saturday, stressing that now is the time for a “great restoration of American freedom.”

He added, “We need the Second Amendment for safety. Forget about going hunting and everything else you do. We need it for safety. Because they know they won’t let go. Bad guys won’t let go of their guns.”
President Trump explained that the Second Amendment needs to not just survive, but thrive. He said the proposed amendments must be “meaningful” or innocent people will not be able to protect their lives or the lives of their loved ones.
President Trump said, “If [Biden] They’re going to be coming for your guns for another four years, 100 percent sure. ”
He also said that Biden’s political career had been marred by a desire to take away firearms, praising Republicans who opposed gun confiscation, saying, “We are the party of common sense.”
President Trump spoke about how federal agencies are being weaponized under the Biden administration, saying that federal firearms license holders (FFLs) have made mistakes on paperwork, even when the paperwork is not critical. He particularly pointed out the current situation where licenses have been revoked.
He suggested that the bottom line is that Biden and his fellow Democrats “want to take away your rights,” adding, “I know that better than anyone — they want to take away my rights.” Who wants to take away – worse than anyone else, worse than Al Capone.” [He] He was indicted twice. He was indicted four times. ” There was applause and laughter from NRA committee members.
