Joe Biden is hoping to bounce back from his poor performance in last month’s debate, but “Round Hill of Resilience” Charles Barkley himself wants Biden to see it through to the end.
Barkley, a liberal and harsh critic of President Trump, revealed his thoughts on Biden’s age and mental decline while playing at the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
“It’s just sad,” Berkeley said. lamented.
“You have the greatest country in the world, and I have nothing but admiration and respect for President Biden.”, But it’s time for him to pass the baton to the younger generation. He was a great person, a great man. I’m not just saying this now, I was saying this a year ago too. It’s time for him to pass the baton.”
“He is one of the most amazing people I have been fortunate enough to have had in my life, but it’s time for me to pass the baton,” Barkley continued.
But no one should be confused about Barkley’s voting intentions: He is still not considering voting for Trump.
“President Trump, listen, I will never vote for someone who thinks like that. We should always respect the person in the office of the president. Sports teams piss me off. There are idiots who won’t visit the White House because they’re a Democrat or Republican. It’s ridiculous. The president is the president of the United States. We should always respect the office of the president, no matter who’s in office.”
Democrats, elected and unelected, have repeatedly called for Biden not to seek reelection and for another Democratic candidate to emerge after Biden’s tweets and general lack of understanding of what was going on around him during a televised debate with former President Trump last month.
Despite protests from his party, Biden has said he has no plans to resign.
