Timothée Chalamet Reflects on Life Without Children
In a recent interview with Vogue, Timothée Chalamet, known for his role in “Dune,” expressed some candid thoughts about relationships and the idea of having children. He described a life without kids as somewhat “dark,” sharing that he and a friend had watched a video of someone boasting about not having children.
“Oh my god, oh my god. It’s dark,” he remarked during the conversation.
Chalamet, 29, acknowledged that while some individuals face challenges in having children, he believes that “Procreating is why we are here,” as noted by Vogue contributor Matty Kahn.
He didn’t provide details on his relationship with Kylie Jenner, but he mentioned that he might consider having children in the future. “I’m not saying that out of fear, I just don’t have anything to say,” he added, leaving his thoughts somewhat open-ended.
The actor talked about his experiences working with talented directors, including Denis Villeneuve of “Dune.” Chalamet learned from them that balancing a career and family is indeed possible.
“You don’t have to be selfish to be great,” he said. “I know that because I’ve worked with some incredible directors. I’m really present in my family’s life.” He recalled a touching moment on set with Villeneuve, where one of the director’s children surprised him with a hug, marking a poignant instance of balancing work and family.
Chalamet and Jenner have been dating for about two years. Jenner has two children from a previous relationship with rapper Travis Scott. The actor’s thoughts on fatherhood appear to be evolving, leaving fans curious about what the future holds.
