The Tennessee Titans saw quarterback Will Revis make yet another poor decision resulting in a turnover, and head coach Brian Callahan didn't hide his thoughts on Revis' play on Sunday against the New York Jets.

In the second quarter, on third down from the Jets' 7-yard line, Revis dropped back to make a pass, but couldn't find anyone in the end zone to extend his team's 7-0 lead.

With the pocket collapsing, Revis decided it was time to scramble, but after trying to jump over the lineman in front of him, he fell to the ground and was nearly sacked.

Rather than simply getting sacked and forcing the kicker to attempt a short field goal, Levi threw the ball backwards to running back Tyjay Spears, but Spears couldn't gather the ball at his feet and the Jets recovered with a big turnover.

Callahan was quick to make his feelings known, and was seen on camera yelling at Revis, appearing to say, “What the hell are you doing?” Callahan lashed out at Revis, who then nodded and walked off to the sideline.

After the game, Callahan was asked how he felt and said he already knew, but he continued to blast the quarterback, something not typically seen from an NFL head coach.

Titans' Will Revis mocked for inexplicable turnovers for second straight week

“My guess is, it was pretty clear on camera, so it certainly pissed me off,” Callahan told reporters after the game. “It was a stupid thing to do. It was exactly what he did last week, cost us a run in the red zone, and that's the way it is.”

“He's grown up and he knows things well, so I was really annoyed that he cost us three points in a game that we probably needed.”

NFL fans might be surprised to hear those words from Callahan, but he felt the same way last week when Revis effectively ruined the game with a similar play.

Instead of being sacked, Revis attempted a shuffle pass to throw the ball out of bounds, which resulted in an interception-6 for the Chicago Bears. Despite failing to score an offensive touchdown, Chicago went on to win the game, 24-17.

Quarterbacks across the league are struggling to start the 2024 season, but Revis has already recorded three interceptions and two touchdowns.

For his career, Revis is 3-8 as a starter, completing 59.4% of his passes with 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions, with 10 of those touchdowns coming in his rookie debut last season.

It takes time for a young player to adjust to the NFL, especially at the quarterback position, but Callahan, in his first season as Titans head coach, isn't planning on sugar-coating his quarterback.
