The WNBA has five games scheduled for Sunday, with rookie sensations Kaitlyn Clark and Angel Reese both set to play.
Seattle Storm (19-12) vs. Connecticut Sun (23-8), 1 p.m.
The Suns will face the Storm on the second day of a back-to-back, aiming to beat the Minnesota Lynx for the No. 2 seed. Alyssa Thomas injured her knee yesterday and missed most of the game, so it's unclear if she'll be available to play today.
Meanwhile, the Storm are just 2-4 since the Olympic hiatus. After a frustrating loss to the Mystics last month, Skylar Diggins-Smith praised her team's effort. A win over the Connecticut Sun, one of the league's most consistent teams, could be a big win.
Chicago Sky (11-20) vs. Minnesota Lynx (23-9) 3:00 PM ET
The Sky have lost five straight games, but the Dream are also struggling to win, so they are still holding on to the last playoff spot. After the Olympic break, the Lynx were on a seven-game winning streak before suffering an uncharacteristic blowout loss to the Dallas Wings on Friday. Napheesa Collier and the rest of the team will look to bounce back against Angelice, Camila Cardoso and the Sky.
Indiana Fever (16-16) vs. Dallas Wings (9-22), 4 p.m.
Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever are rising fast in the standings with a 7-3 record in their last 10 games and will be looking to make it four straight wins when they face the Wings on Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Dallas is coming off a disappointing season, but they were coming off a big win over the Lynx on Friday and were effectively eliminated from playoff contention, but they've looked like a different team since Satou Sabry returned and recently won three straight games.
Las Vegas Aces (19-12) vs. Phoenix Mercury (16-16) 4:00 PM ET
Can the Aces regain their championship form? Vegas had a disappointing season, but they're still the No. 4 seed and will be a tough opponent come playoff time. Despite a monster season from Kaalia Copper, the Mercury has hovered around a .500 win rate all year,
Atlanta Dream (10-21) vs. Los Angeles Sparks (7-24) 7:00 PM ET
The Dream are in the final stretch to make the playoffs. The Sky have lost seven of their last eight games, certainly opening the door, but Atlanta hasn't fully capitalized on that opportunity. They've lost four straight games themselves, but Tina Charles seems to have turned back the clock. Charles had 28 points and eight rebounds in last Monday's loss to the Fever and then a triple-double with 19 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists in Wednesday's loss to the Storm.
The Sparks, the worst team in the league, ended a seven-game losing streak on Wednesday against the Liberty, a game that had no real meaning for Los Angeles other than as a chance for star rookie Rekea Jackson to showcase his improved play.
