Tom Brady Delivers Anti-Woke Speech Celebrating Football

Tom Brady has joined the mainstream sports media, but if they’re expecting him to join the anti-football movement, they’d better give up.

Brady, a future gold-jacketed NFL Hall of Famer, donned a red jacket at the New England Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Wednesday night. After everyone else had finished congratulating him, Brady took to the stage to celebrate football, delivering an inspiring speech about strength and overcoming adversity that was sure to infuriate the waking crowd under the Guardian’s hat.

Brady proudly asserted that he “encourages everyone to play football” because “football teaches us that success and achievement come from overcoming adversity, and that team accomplishments far exceed individual goals.”

When talking about what it took to achieve what he did in the NFL, Brady didn’t focus on the skills and attributes of an elite athlete, instead talking about core American values like hard work and perseverance.

“The truth is, you don’t have to be anything special. You just have to be something that most people don’t have: consistency, determination and a willingness to work. There are no shortcuts,” Brady explained. “When you look at all of my teammates here tonight, it would be impossible to find better examples than them of men who embody the work ethic, integrity, purpose, determination and discipline it takes to be a champion in life.”

Whether intentional or not, Brady’s speech defends and celebrates the rugged individualism that made this country great and that the left seeks to destroy. Football has provided, and continues to provide, a platform for young men to test their mettle, to highlight and overcome their weaknesses, and to celebrate their strengths before they reach adulthood. To the left, men whose constitutions are honed on the gridiron on 100-degree summer days on fields across the country are a clear and present danger to the dependent, greedy slave class they are trying to create.

Tom Brady may not agree with the right on every issue, but he’s here demonstrating a fundamental agreement with what it takes to raise strong young people in particular, and strong and successful people in general: providing a testing ground for adversity and for young people to suffer in order to overcome adversity and gain self-confidence.

In America, football is where it’s at, and Tom Brady understands that.
