Hunter Biden committed perjury during a closed session during the House impeachment inquiry in February, Biden’s former business associate Tony Bobulinski testified Wednesday.
Bobulinski previously claimed that President Joe Biden was the “big man” mentioned in a text message in which he received a 10% stake in a joint venture with CEFC China Energy, which has close ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
In his opening statement Wednesday morning, Bobulinski provided examples to support his perjury claims.
In the first instance, Bobulinski questioned the timing of Hunter’s start working with CEFC.
1. In Hunter’s memorandum (page 42), he states, “I officially began working for CEFC when I received my retainer from CEFC in early or spring 2017.” So why did Hunter yell at CEFC Executive Director Zang, who I was sitting next to in New York City on Sunday, May 7, 2017, in front of his inner circle? Mr. Hunter was adamant that CEFC was owed the remainder of the $20 million it had promised for the work it claimed to have done.
In the second trial, Bobulinski argued that Hunter was not telling the truth when he claimed that President Joe Biden had no interaction with Hunter’s associates.
2. On page 48 of the transcript, the hunter is asked: “He has never interacted with any of your business associates. Is that correct?” “He” refers to Joe Biden. Hunter says yes. Hunter arranged for a meeting between his father and me at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on May 2, 2017. The only reason Hunter wanted me to meet his father was because I was the CEO of Sinohawk, the Biden family’s partnership with CEFC. I was a business person. Hunter admits in his records that the meeting with Joe took place, and by confirming it he incriminates his uncle Jim of perjury.
In the third lawsuit, Bobulinski said Hunter “lied” about using Joe Biden to receive a $5 million payment from CEFC.
3. Hunter lied to the Commission on July 30 and July 31, 2017 about material details regarding financial demands and threats to CEFC. He used his father’s presence next to him in his infamous sentence to force the CEFC to pay Hunter immediately. And in the process, he defrauded his partners at Sinohawk Holdings LLC and Oneida Holdings LLC. The threat worked, and a few days later the Chinese wired $5 million to a company 50% owned by Hunter. It is important to remember that CEFC considered this money to be an interest-free loan to the “Biden family” and had plans to transfer more. I have an email from CEFC to prove it.
Bobulinski also testified that Joe Biden is “not just a participant in and a beneficiary of his family’s business.” Bobulinski said Joe Biden was an “aggressive, conscious man who met with business people like me and promoted business, even though he was buffered by complex plans to maintain plausible deniability.” He was an enabler.”
“If there is no evidence of corruption, and Joe and his family’s actions were completely legal and proper, why are they so dishonest about it?” Bobulinski asked. “This is not just a factual error, but a deep lie about an entire corrupt company.”
