Allegations Against German Police Officer Following Transition

A senior officer in the German police, who reportedly chose to transition to a female identity after experiencing a terrorist attack, has partially admitted to multiple serious allegations. These include the rape of a 15-year-old girl, illegal possession of a Kalashnikov-style rifle, and having videos depicting child and animal sexual abuse.

The Traunstein Regional Court in Bavaria recently heard evidence regarding the alleged rape incident that occurred in a McDonald’s bathroom along the highway connecting Munich and Salzburg. The accused, a 55-year-old Police Chief Inspector known by the chosen name ‘Maja S’, is said to have befriended the girl through her mother, taking her on a motorcycle ride to the restaurant before assaulting her in the restroom.

Inside the bathroom, the officer reportedly locked the stall door behind him and then proceeded to molest and ultimately rape the teen. This information was presented during the court proceedings, according to reports from Germany’s Bild.

This alleged rape is just one of many charges facing the officer, who is currently suspended. Authorities took possession of a “submachine gun” resembling a Kalashnikov and videos of child sexual abuse in 2024. Some of these videos reportedly feature “brutal” content involving children as young as three and include home-produced footage of bestiality involving a dog.

Maja S. has acknowledged some of these accusations, and discussions are underway for a plea deal that could result in a sentence as short as three and a half years.

The court learned that ‘Maja S’ had previously been part of GSG9, an elite German counter-terrorism unit, and had served at various German embassies worldwide, including in Afghanistan. It was during this time that he witnessed the devastating May 2017 bombing in Kabul’s diplomatic quarter, which resulted in the deaths of at least 150 people due to an explosive-laden truck.

Experiencing such a catastrophic event seems to have profoundly affected the accused, as it is reported he decided to transition following the bombing. The German police are said to have supported this transition and even employed officer Maja S. as a part of their recruitment efforts.

Despite appearances, including being described as six feet tall and notably muscular—with large, colorful tattoos—the media continues to refer to the officer using female pronouns. This has drawn criticism, with some pointing out the absurdity of the situation. An opinion piece in Die Welt commended the victim for consistently referring to her assailant as “him” during the trial, contrasting her stance with the broader media trend. The publication urged the government to reconsider the gender ‘self-determination’ law.
