Restraining Order Filed Against TPUSA Reporter Following Protest Incident

TPUSA reporter Savannah Hernandez reported that the family of a woman charged after a confrontation at an anti-ICE protest has filed a restraining order against her, attempting to restrict her from discussing the situation on social media.

In an update on the case, Hernandez mentioned that a federal grand jury indicted the Minnesota family of Christopher, Deyanna, and Paige Ostroshko concerning an incident on April 11 outside the Whipple Federal Building in Minnesota.

While covering the protest, Hernandez claims that tensions escalated, leading to an attack from the Ostroshkos after they discovered her affiliation with Turning Point USA. The Ostroshko family insists they are innocent and have filed separate restraining orders against her. Hernandez criticized these orders, characterizing them as misleading and filled with inaccuracies, such as misrepresenting her height.

Hernandez suggested that the intention behind the restraining order is to silence her regarding the incident and restrict her reporting activities in Minnesota.

She stated, “These orders essentially aim to prevent me from posting about anything related to them, or even stepping foot in Minnesota.” Notably, Chris Ostroshko’s requests include barring her from entering the state or the Whipple facility where the conflict occurred.

Regarding allegations from Paige Ostroshko’s petition, Hernandez denied claims of physical aggression toward him, asserting that there is video evidence refuting such accusations. She emphasized her commitment to justice and clarified that she has never disclosed the family’s private information online.

Following the filing of the restraining orders, Hernandez mentioned that law enforcement had visited her residence multiple times to serve the documents.

James Cook, representing the Ostroshko family, declined to comment on the unfolding situation due to the ongoing legal proceedings. At a prior court session, it was noted that the family’s legal team intended to seek a gag order against Hernandez.

Before the federal charges emerged, Chris Ostroshko maintained his family’s non-violent stance during a podcast discussion, stating, “We are definitely not violent people.”
