The transgender runner blew the competition Wednesday at a high school student championship race in Portland, Oregon.

Last year, Gallagher sparked controversy when she won the 6A-1 Portland Interscholastic League Championship in the women's 200m and 400m races.
This year, Gallagher was awarded a record run of two seasons. He finished in the 400m with a time of 57.62, beating Franklin High School's Kinnary Soup Hunton, finishing second at 1:05.72. The transgender runner scored 200m and finished above 25.76 with 25.76, moving ahead of second place runner, who ran 27.31, more than two seconds ahead.

Gallagher's participation last year drove opposing team coaches to protest his inclusion. That coach, John Parks of Lake Oswego High School, was eventually fired.
Gallagher's blowout victory this year has disliked many social media users.
