A Michigan transgender woman sues her ex-boyfriend for discarding his surgically removed testicles, but a judge throws out her lawsuit, saying she was “humiliated” by the lawsuit. was also rejected.
Brianna Kingsley, 40, said last year that her ex-boyfriend, William Wojciechowski, 37, said: “My surgically removed testicles were stored in a mason jar in the refrigerator next to eggs.” The company filed a small claims lawsuit alleging that the company continues to own the property.
In addition to $6,500 in damages, the Pontiac resident demanded the immediate return of “human bone specimens” in a handwritten affidavit.
“We’re talking about my nuts. … I wanted them in my fridge, not his,” Kingsley said at the court hearing. “The damage was the loss of these nuts.”
Wojciechowski, meanwhile, filed a countersuit for the same amount, saying he had already discarded his testicles and was “humiliated” by the coverage of the bizarre incident by a “global news organization.” Detroit News reported.
But District Court Judge Jeremy Bowie, in a contentious hearing on Wednesday, called the whole matter a “washbuckler” and denied both sides’ claims, and the report said his decision could not be appealed. he added.
The judge noted how difficult it is to calculate potential damages in this bizarre case.
“For example, if you are making $16 an hour and take time off from work, you can claim the amount of $1,” he said. “But when it comes to testicles, you can’t really put a number on it.”
The judge said Kingsley had the opportunity to retrieve his testicles in January 2023 when an Oakland County sheriff’s deputy accompanied him to his ex-girlfriend’s home.
At the time, Kingsley had just been released from prison, where he spent three days and was fined $100 for violating a personal protection order filed against him, the Detroit News reported.
“We will allow a one-time visit from the sheriff in situations where people are returning to retrieve their belongings,” Bowie said.
“MS. At that time, Ms. Kingsley unsuccessfully tried to retrieve the testicles from the refrigerator. …If they were that important to her, she had the opportunity to grab them, but she did not. ,” he said at the hearing.
Wojciechowski told the judge that he threw away his testicles in July.
“They were rotting in the fridge and it was very unpleasant. The food I wanted to eat was there,” he said. “She didn’t store them in the biohazard container she was supposed to.”
She said the surgery she underwent at Henry Ford Hospital in March 2022 cost $20,000, but the state covered the cost because she is disabled, the newspaper reported.
“The state paid for it and you didn’t. You will not be unduly enriched,” the judge told her.
The two met through a Facebook community in April 2020 and moved in together in the fall of 2021, which Wojciechowski bought, she said. They disbanded in December 2022.
“I deal with trauma in comedy, so I kept my testicles in a jar in the fridge,” Kingsley said. Shakespeare did it. ”
After she went to retrieve her belongings, she went to Wojciechowski’s house again, but Wojciechowski said he refused her entry because he felt she was harassing him.
Bowie said she had the right to refuse entry because she had already been inside a month earlier.
Kingsley appeared to be making fun of his missing gonads in a 2022 TikTok video. Title “Unboxing Dee’s Nutz”
Inside, she opens the box and pulls out a bag labeled Biohazard. She smiled shyly as she put her finger to her mouth and rewrapped it, suggesting it was her testicles, and finished with a dance.
In October 2020, Kingsley was sentenced to two months in prison after pleading guilty to misdemeanor assault for pointing a knife at his then-roommate, also a trans woman, on Christmas Day.
