Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have proven they’re quite good at keeping things under wraps.
The prominent NFL player and pop icon recently got engaged “a few weeks ago,” according to sources, before sharing the news on social media this past Tuesday.
Swift posted an Instagram photo alongside a playful caption: “Your English teacher and gym teacher are married.”
The couple has been dating since the summer of 2023, when Kelce attempted to connect with Swift during her tour on the “New Heights” podcast.
Since then, she’s attended numerous Chiefs games, including both the 2024 and 2025 Super Bowls, while Kelce has joined her for some of the international stops of her ERAS tour.
On the podcast, which is co-hosted by Kelce’s former stepbrother Jason, they revealed snippets of their relationship, leading to a significant buzz when the episode was released on YouTube earlier this month.
“Travis decided to use it two years ago as his personal dating app,” Swift mentioned.
In discussing their connection, Kelce remarked, “I’m giving you credit for the ERAS tour because if I had never been to that show, I wouldn’t have felt the urge to reach out, and I might not have gotten to know you at all.” He seemed genuinely intrigued by her.
Although their recent podcast episode occurred after the engagement, the duo primarily chatted about their relationship and Swift’s upcoming album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Kelce’s last NFL season is set to kick off against the Chargers on September 5th, with Swift’s new album expected to drop on October 3rd. They certainly have a lot happening before planning what will likely be a highly publicized wedding.
It’s probably safe to say that any details about their big day won’t spill out too soon.
