Travis Kelce was making waves ahead of Monday night's premiere of “Grotescre.”

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end received glowing reviews from his mother and TV director Ryan Murphy ahead of the FX show's debut.

“He's a good guy. A really good guy,” she told media from the purple carpet. “He's kind and generous, and from what I understand, she is too.”

During a virtual press conference, Murphy spoke about Kelsey's involvement with the show. He said he met with Kelsey and she told him she was interested in acting. Murphy suggested that Kelsey might be excited to do something, especially with the three-month break between the Super Bowl and the start of practice.

The Super Bowl champion suggested Travis Kelce isn't fully focused on football after a recent quiet game.

Murphy reportedly told Kelsey he would write the role specifically for him, after which he spent “several months” working with an acting coach on the role.

“He came right to the script. He knew everybody's lines,” Murphy says. Via Variety“He was very professional and very dedicated. He told me a lot of times, 'I'm a coachable guy. Coach me, coach me,' so I did, and he ended up being great.”

“I look forward to continuing to work with him on this and other projects. I can't say enough about how great he is as a leader. He's such a sweet, gentle person. … Everything you think about him is true.”

“Grotescre” stars Nicey Nash Betts, Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville and tells the story of a detective who teams up with a nun to solve a series of crimes plaguing a town.

Kelce has struggled on the field so far and has heard criticism about it.

He has yet to reach the end zone through the first three games this season, finishing with eight catches for 69 yards.
