Travis Kelce struggles to ignore media attention since starting to date Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce has noticed a surge in public attention since his relationship with Taylor Swift, who, well, is pretty much the biggest pop star around in 2023.

In a recent GQ cover story for September, he shared how much he is aware of the comments and opinions swirling around. This has led him to be “more strategic” about how he presents himself to the world.

“You can’t block it,” Kelce remarked about the attention his relationship with Swift attracts. “If someone says something negative about you, you need to understand how they view themselves when they say it.”

“I’m someone who doesn’t want anyone saying bad things about me. Some people really don’t care at all. I do,” he added.

Kelce emphasized that he knows how he wishes to be perceived.

“When I see Taylor out and about in the U.S., it might seem like we’re both just having fun,” he noted. “But honestly, I enjoy these great events that I go to with the people I care about.”

He also mentioned, “I’ve become more strategic in how I’m portrayed by others. I really understand how I want to come across.”

At 35, he previously commented on how fame has changed since he and Swift met in the summer of 2023. Last month, he dismissed rumors that they were seeking attention through public outings, like a date at the 2025 Stanley Cup final.

In 2024, Kelce noted that they had to relocate to a gated community in Kansas City, partly due to the paparazzi hanging around his home.
