Trevor Bauer Criticizes MLB After Pete Rose Is Allowed Back in Baseball

Trevor Bauer Questions MLB’s Decision

Trevor Bauer has made headlines again as Major League Baseball reopens the door for Pete Rose. The former Cy Young Award winner is now wondering about his own situation.

After the announcement about Rose and other baseball legends, Bauer took to social media, expressing his frustration with the league. He pointed out that Rose, who was banned from baseball in 1989 for gambling, has been welcomed back.

Bauer, who faced a 324-game suspension due to sexual assault allegations in 2021, eventually had that reduced to 194 games after an appeal. He has been away from MLB but is currently playing in Japan.

In a recent tweet, Bauer posed a question: “So, Pete is welcome now. Will this extend to everyone who has been blackballed, or do you actually have to commit some kind of crime to qualify?”

It’s a valid thought, especially considering his own circumstances. I feel for him; there’s always a silver lining, though—at least he’s not dealing with the chaos someone else is facing right now.
