Authorities have identified the firefighter killed in the line of duty following a devastating house explosion in Northern Virginia on Friday night.
Loudoun County Fire and Rescue officials announced that the firefighter killed in Friday night’s devastating gas leak explosion was Trevor Brown, 45, of the Sterling Volunteer Fire Company.

Loudoun County Fire Chief Keith Johnson said at a news conference that Brown is survived by his wife and three children.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said it was a “miracle” that only one person was killed in the explosion.
“Fourteen people were injured. Our family was in that house when it exploded. It’s a miracle,” Johnson said. “We spoke to her homeowner who had minor injuries and we rescued her. So our family did their job. They showed up and did what they had to do. We did. We are prepared for this.”
The ministry said four people remain in local hospitals after the house explosion.
