Trial-Free Day Releases Trump for Return to Campaign Trail

Donald Trump’s corporate records case will not be heard in Manhattan on Wednesday, allowing him to use the day off to greet voters at rallies in battleground states Wisconsin and Michigan.

As Breitbart News reported, the fleeting return to campaigning comes after New York County Judge Juan M. Marchan charged Trump with criminal contempt for violating a gag order during his trial and barring him from future violations. The decision came a day after the judge found that he had threatened to impose a prison sentence.

Although the former president has consistently maintained that he was exercising his right to free speech, offensive posts have been removed from his Truth Social account and campaign website.

Marchan is considering other allegations of violations of the gag order by President Trump and is scheduled to hear arguments on Thursday.

President Trump made his continued frustration public after the ninth day of his trial, saying he should appear in Georgia and New Hampshire instead of sitting in court, the Associated Press reported. report.

“They don’t want me to participate in the campaign,” he told reporters, returning to a theme he has supported in the past.

President Trump has called this and other criminal cases against him “election interference,” arguing that they are hindering his campaign for the 2024 presidential election in November.

A CNN poll on Friday found that a majority of Americans appear to doubt and agree that Trump’s criminal trial will have a fair outcome.

A CNN poll shows that more Americans believe Trump’s criminal trial has no bearing on his re-election ability, but more Americans believe Trump is being treated the same as other “criminal defendants.” It is said that it remains at only 13%.

An AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll found Tuesday that only about one-third of American adults believe President Trump acted illegally in the incident.

The Republican candidate’s visit to Wisconsin and Michigan will be his second visit to the battleground states in just a month.

To win in both states, Trump will need to do well in suburban areas such as Milwaukee, Michigan, and the Saginaw suburbs, where Wednesday’s rally is scheduled, the Associated Press said.
