Tributes have been pouring in following the “tragic” deaths of a mother and her two teenage children who were found dead in their Luton apartment.
Bedfordshire Police said the victims are believed to be Juliana Prosper, 48, Kyle Prosper, 16, and Giselle Prosper, 13, all from Leebank, but that they have yet to be formally identified.
Nicholas Prosper, 18, also of Leebank, has been charged with murder and several firearms offences over Friday's incident. He is due to appear at Luton Magistrates' Court on Monday.
A statement from her children's schools described Gisele as a “beautiful soul” and “model student”, while Kyle's school called the tragedy “devastating”.
Jess Passer, principal of the town's Lee Manor High School, wrote on X: “We are deeply shocked by the tragic incident that took place in our local area on Friday and are devastated by the death of our student Giselle Prosper.
“Gisele had a beautiful heart and was an exemplary student. She excelled in all subjects and will be greatly missed by her friends, especially those in Year 9.
“Lee Manor High School will be open as usual on Monday and specialist bereavement counsellors will be providing additional support to pupils and staff at this difficult time.”
“It will take some time for us to understand what has happened and our hearts go out to the affected communities and nearby schools.”
Cardinal Newman Catholic School in Luton said in a statement it was “shocked” and “deeply saddened” by Kyle's death.
“This is heartbreaking news for all who knew and loved Kyle, and it will take some time for us to come to terms with our profound loss,” the statement said.
“We have already sent important information to parents and carers outlining how pupils will be supported when they return to school on Monday.
“We know this is a difficult time for students, faculty and staff, and we will do all we can to support them with love and compassion.
“Our hearts go out to Kyle's family and friends who have suffered an immeasurable loss, and to all the students at the nearby school who are dealing with their own loss. We are praying for all those lost in this tragic incident.”
