Trump Proposes New Space Force Uniform Designs

President Donald Trump has introduced potential new uniforms for the United States Space Force, stating that the designs draw inspiration from a well-known science fiction classic.

On Sunday, Trump shared the mock-ups for the U.S. Space Force uniforms, claiming they were influenced by the cult classic film “Starship Troopers.”

Posting the black-and-grey designs on Truth Social, he remarked that the looks were “inspired by the discipline of the Starship Trooper uniform,” but modernized for “the guardians of the space domain.”

Originally released in 1997 and based on Robert Heinlein’s novel, the “Starship Troopers” movie takes place in the 23rd century, depicting humanity’s battle against giant, bug-like creatures called Arachnids.

Reactions on social media were swift, with many users noting that the proposed uniform designs also closely resemble those worn by Imperial officers in the “Star Wars” series.

“Is the new uniform for assignment on the USS Enterprise, the USS Bismark, or the Death Star?” one user joked, referencing the well-known locations in the “Star Wars” universe.

Another user commented humorously, “SWEET your [sic] going galactic empire! Let the Force be with you lol!”

At this point, it’s uncertain if Trump’s post was meant to officially propose the design or if it was just a casual graphic shared with followers.

The Space Force had officially unveiled its current uniform design in January, moving away from modified Air Force apparel based on constructive feedback to create a more refined appearance.
