The construction of a new presidential banquet hall at the White House will be funded entirely by private donations, incurring no cost to taxpayers, according to Trump.
He expressed that this project, which has been a long-time desire for over 150 years, can finally happen thanks to his leadership. “I’m going to do it right,” he stated confidently.

The presidential ballroom will be completed using entirely private funds, a long-awaited enhancement to the White House. It has been over 150 years since such a project was planned, and this ballroom will stand out as one of the most significant developments since the West Wing.
The White House initiated construction of the banquet hall earlier this year.

For a century and a half, various presidents and their teams have expressed a need for a larger event space that could accommodate many more attendees than currently possible. Trump aims to address this on behalf of future administrations.
While the White House is historic and beautiful, it struggles to host major events without unsightly tents set up outside. The planned State Ballroom will cover approximately 90,000 square feet and host up to 650 guests, a significant increase from the East Room’s 200.
Recently, Trump has engaged with White House personnel, the National Park Service, and security services to finalize the design.
McCreary Architects, known for traditional designs and based in Washington, D.C., has been chosen for this renovation. CEO Jim McCreary remarked on the longstanding challenges of hosting events at the White House, which hasn’t been updated since Truman’s era, and he feels honored to contribute to this vital project while preserving its historical essence.
