Trump aide Ric Grenell threatens to run against Kamala Harris for California gov

WASHINGTON – President Trump's special mission envoy Rick Grenell said Friday that he is considering playing against Kamala Harris for the governor of California next year.

Grenell, 58, told reporters at the Munich Security Conference that he considers the former vice president vulnerable if he attempts a political comeback after the defeat that was blown away by Trump on November 5th.

“I believe that if Kamala Harris runs for governor, she will have such baggage and hundreds of millions of dollars, I said.

“I'm not saying no,” he added.

It is unclear whether Grenell, famous for trolling Democrats on social media, has taken concrete steps to explore the campaign.

Golden State Gov. Gavin Newsom is a Democrat and filling his position is being discussed as the next step in the Harris 60.

Harris doubled as California Attorney General in 2010 and 2014 and was statewidely elected as a US Senator in 2016, and then made up 58.5% of Trump's vote for 38.3%. He carried the state as a person.

Her nearest statewide election was in 2010 when she recorded a narrow 46.1% victory at 45.3% against GOP Attorney General candidate Steve Cooley.

California Democrats have shaking the aftermath of last month's wildfires in Los Angeles, causing more than $250 billion in damage. Infuriated residents and Republicans have accused hell of democratic policies of their own in their contribution to the lack of water available to destroy them.

Grenell's instate current role includes Trump's point man in the reconstruction of Los Angeles. He also recently traveled to Venezuela to mediate the release of six Americans and served as a foreign envoy, including an agreement by socialist Strongman Nicolas Maduro to accept the resignation.

He is also the interim executive director of Trump at the Kennedy Center in Washington.

During Trump's first term, Grenell served as US ambassador to Germany. It served as a role in helping to block the construction of the Nord Stream 2 Russian natural gas pipeline under the Baltic Sea.

He also brokered a diplomatic agreement between Serbia and Kosovo, serving as acting director of national intelligence in 2020, becoming the first openly gay to occupy a cabinet-level position.
