Trump and Paramount seeking mediator, fueling settlement chatter

President Donald Trump and Paramount are seeking mediators, further promoting speculation that the parties will resolve the $20 billion CBS News lawsuit, Fox News Digital confirmed.

As reported first Until the New York Times, lawyers for both parties aim to appoint mediators to facilitate resolutions for the High Stakes legal battle.

“President Trump is committed to keeping people who lie to fake news, hoaxes and lies,” Trump's lawyer Ed Palzik told Fox News Digital in a statement. “CBS and Paramount committed the worst election interference and fraud on the last day of the most important presidential elections in history. President Trump pursues this important issue to a legitimate and legitimate conclusion.”

A representative for Paramount declined to comment.

The mediator search comes days after the judge ruled against Paramount and CBS News' claims that they would dismiss the case.

The lawsuit has been revised. The lawsuit added R-Texas' Rep. Ronny Jackson as plaintiff, raising the damages claim to $20 billion.
