Trump and Republicans outraised Biden and Democrats by $25M in April

Donald Trump outraised Joe Biden’s April campaign fundraising total by more than $25 million, as the Democratic incumbent suffered a drop in donations last month.

The Biden campaign and the Democratic National Committee said Monday they raised more than $51 million in April, far less than the $90 million the groups reported raising in March.

Meanwhile, the Trump campaign and Republican National Committee earlier this month boasted $76 million in revenue in April.

“Despite their desperate attempts to stop him, momentum and grassroots support is growing and will continue until November 5,” she added.

Trump, 77, had the lead in April, but the Biden campaign appears to have the upper hand in terms of finances.

The Biden campaign and DNC reported having a war chest of $192 million, the highest ever for a Democratic candidate at this point in the cycle.

The Trump campaign and Republican National Committee had $93.1 million in cash at the end of March.

Neither group reported total military spending for April, but even if they raised $76 million, it would not exceed Biden’s cash reserves.

“April Harvest reflects the strong and consistent grassroots enthusiasm for Joe and Kamala’s re-election, and we are working hard to open offices, hire organizers, and move forward in battleground states to mobilize the coalition of voters that will decide this election.” It gives us the resources we need to invest in communications across the board,” Biden-Harris 2024 Campaign Manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in a statement.

“Mr. Trump’s campaign continues to eat up cash and lags behind our growing and active campaign. There is no ground game and no clear interest in the conversations with voters necessary to win. No,” he added. “We are not taking anything for granted, but our campaign is the only one doing the necessary work every day to win the support of voters this November.”

The Biden campaign has consistently outpaced Trump in monthly fundraising.

Trump’s April numbers were boosted by a massive one-day haul of $50.5 million at an event in Palm Beach, Florida, the home base of billionaire investor John Paulson.

The rally was President Trump’s response to the Biden campaign’s Radio City Music Hall fundraiser in New York, which raised $26 million for the 81-year-old incumbent Biden in March.

The glitzy event was attended by former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, as well as several A-list celebrities.

The Biden campaign touted Monday that it has raised more than $473 million since the president launched his re-election campaign last April.
