On Sunday, Trump announced his selection in a post on Truth Social.
“Mr. Massad is a talented lawyer and a highly respected leader in the business community with extensive experience on the international stage,” President Trump said.
“He is a long-time supporter of Republican and conservative values, has been an asset to my campaign, and has been instrumental in forging new and greater alliances with the Arab American community.” he added.
Boulos, Tiffany Trump's father-in-law, met several times with Arab American and Muslim leaders during the campaign.
He will likely work with Steve Witkoff, President Trump's special envoy for the Middle East, who was appointed last month.
This is the second time in recent days that Trump has chosen the stepfather of one of his children to lead his administration. On Saturday, President Trump announced that he would select Charles Kushner, the father of his son-in-law Jared Kushner, to be ambassador to France.
