The suspect in the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump has been identified by authorities as Ryan Wesley Routh, 58.
Few details have been confirmed about Routh, including a motive.
According to previous public statements, Routh was reportedly stationed along the fence around the Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach, armed with an AK-47-style rifle, a GoPro and two inconspicuous bags.

Ryan Wesley Routh entered the courtroom wearing jail overalls, handcuffed at his wrists and ankles, and smiled and laughed three or four times while speaking with his court-appointed attorney before the hearing began, Fox News reported.
Cameras were not allowed at the federal court hearing in West Palm Beach, Florida, on charges of possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
Routh, 58, appeared serious and answered all of the judge's questions during the roughly 10-minute hearing on Monday. He is scheduled to be formally arraigned on Sept. 30.
