As of 1:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, the GoFundMe account had raised more than $1.6 million from more than 21,000 donations. Donations surged by the afternoon, with more than $265,000 raised by the early morning hours.
“President Donald Trump has authorized this account as a venue for donations to the supporters and families injured or killed in today’s brutal and horrific assassination attempt. All donations will go to proud Americans as they grieve and heal. May God bless and unite our nation,” the GoFundMe page reads.

The former president released a statement on Truth Social about two hours after the shooting, saying he was “shot above the right ear.” We would like to express our condolences to those who lost their lives and those who were injured.
One of the rally attendees, now identified as 50-year-old former Pennsylvania fire chief Corey Comperatore, was killed in the shooting, and two others remain in critical condition, the Secret Service confirmed. The identities of the two people in critical condition have not been released.
