Former President Trump supports Nebraska’s efforts to change the state’s election system to a “winner-takes-all” system.
Nebraska is one of only two states in the United States without a winner-take-all system, the other being Maine. Both states allocate Electoral College votes based on districts, so Democrats could pick up additional delegates from mostly red states.
Gov. Jim Pillen has expressed support for a bill introduced by a state senator that would bring Nebraska’s election system in line with the rest of the country.

“I am a strong supporter of Sen. [Loren] Lippincott’s winner-take-all bill (LB 764) was like that from the beginning. “This will bring Nebraska in line with the other 48 states, better reflect our nation’s founding intent, and ensure Nebraska has a unified voice in presidential elections,” Pillen said in a statement Tuesday. mentioned in.
