Local law enforcement officials responded to the threats by visiting the homes of several candidates and appointees, Fox News Digital has learned.

The alleged gunman, Ryan Wesley Routh, held an AK-47-style rifle and pointed it at Mr. Trump through a fence while the Republican candidate was playing golf. President Trump was chased off the golf course by members of the U.S. Secret Service and was unharmed.
