Trump Claims Israel’s Intentions Toward Iran

WASHINGTON – In a recent conversation, Trump mentioned to the Post that he anticipated Israel would take action against Iran if the Iranian administration didn’t promptly agree to a new nuclear deal with the U.S.

“I always knew the date,” Trump stated during a brief phone interview. “Because I know everything. I know everything. I know everything. I know everything.”

“I gave them 60 days, and they didn’t see it,” he added. “Today’s the 61st day, you know.”

Trump welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on April 7, just two months prior to Israel’s assault on Iranian military leaders and nuclear scientists.

Iran retaliated by launching a hundred drones towards Israel, which the Israeli Defense Forces reported intercepting successfully.

When asked if Netanyahu had shared intelligence regarding Iran’s nuclear ambitions and whether the 60-day timeline was mutually agreed upon, Trump remarked, “I know what’s going on. Someone let me know that.”

The U.S. is pressuring Iran to cease its nuclear enrichment in exchange for a return to the global economy. Yet, on June 4, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei expressed reluctance, asking rhetorically if he should pursue a nuclear program.

“They had a great opportunity to make a deal. Iran did,” Trump noted. “They had a great opportunity to make a deal, and they didn’t do that.”

Despite this, Trump suggested that the U.S. is still open to negotiating with Iran.

“I told them what to do, but they couldn’t get there,” he reflected, adding that there might still be another chance for an agreement.
