Trump declares the death of Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei: 'Justice'

Airstrike Results in Khamenei’s Death, Trump Declares This “Justice”

President Trump confirmed that Ayatollah Khamenei was killed in a U.S. and Israeli airstrike in Tehran, stating it was a matter of “justice.”

He shared his thoughts on Truth Social, calling Khamenei “one of the most evil figures in history.” Trump emphasized that this outcome was not just justice for Iranians but also for many Americans and other nations affected by Khamenei and his regime’s violence.

Khamenei, who had been in power for over 36 years, could not escape the U.S. missiles, according to Trump.

He added that there was nothing Khamenei or his fellow leaders could have done to prevent the airstrike, asserting this represented the best opportunity for the Iranian people to reclaim their nation. Trump urged the Iranian military and secret police to collaborate with “patriots” to unify the country and warned that bombings would persist.

“Massive and precise bombings will continue uninterrupted throughout the week and beyond, as long as necessary to achieve our goal of peace in the Middle East and globally!” he stated.

The bombing campaign resulted in the destruction of Khamenei’s heavily fortified compound, and several Iranian defense officials were reportedly killed. Trump’s remarks included a suggestion that members of Khamenei’s supporters could attain immunity if they ceased fighting.

“We are getting reports that numerous Revolutionary Guards and security forces are no longer inclined to fight and are seeking immunity from us. As I noted last night, ‘You can get immunity now, but face death later!'” he warned.

Officials from the administration described Iran as posing an “intolerable risk” to the U.S. due to its missile threats, stressing that the U.S. would not entertain proposals for “free forever nuclear fuel” during negotiations, leading up to the attack on Tehran.

One official noted that Iran’s missile inventory presented a significant threat to the U.S., citing indications that Iran might launch a preemptive strike against American interests in the region. This included Iranian attacks on U.S. military bases in various countries.

The decision was made that U.S. forces would not remain passive amid a missile threat. An official stated that waiting to be attacked would result in greater casualties than acting preemptively.

New U.S.-Iran Relations Following Airstrike

Details of the last meeting with Iranian representatives revealed an unexpected offer from the U.S. administration, which included providing nuclear fuel for free. However, Iranian officials dismissed the proposal, insisting on uranium enrichment instead.

The Trump administration claimed that Iran’s nuclear capabilities had been dismantled during Operation Midnight Hammer but expressed concerns that Iran might soon work to rebuild them.

These ongoing fears partly explain the relentless bombings this week. Trump mentioned that he could either maintain control for an extended period or resolve the situation rapidly.

His support base is unlikely to accept anything less than a decisive victory in the conflict, while European leaders have voiced worries about regional stability. Nevertheless, Trump remains optimistic about neutralizing Iran as a threat.

“In any case, it will take years for Iran to recuperate from this attack,” he concluded.
