Tommy Tuberville and his son Eric Trump. , was seen standing behind the 45th president and defending the status quo. It is expected to be an action-packed day in court.
President Trump’s comments ahead of Monday’s court hearing focused on his claims that the case was a “baseless, politically motivated prosecution” pushed by the Biden administration, while simultaneously targeting key battleground states. He highlighted recent polls showing President Trump leading Biden.

The 16th day of Trump’s trial begins with testimony from former personal lawyer Michael Cohen.
The case revolves around allegations of falsification of business records. Prosecutors claim Cohen paid Daniels $130,000 to quell her claims of alleged extramarital sexual encounters with President Trump. Prosecutors allege that the Trump Organization reimbursed Cohen and fraudulently recorded the payments as legal fees, alleging that Trump falsified records to commit or conceal a second crime. Proof is in progress.

Trump has maintained his innocence in the case.
Daniels took the stand last week and detailed that he met Trump during a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe in 2006. She claimed the two had sex in Trump’s hotel room during the event, which Trump has repeatedly denied in public comments. Daniels’ testimony included telling the court how she got into the porn industry after working as an exotic dancer as a teenager.
Legal experts later argued that Daniels’ testimony was irrelevant to the case and that some of her statements should not have been entered into the record. Trump’s lawyers twice filed for a miscarriage of justice, which was overruled by Chief Judge Juan Mercian.

Mr. Cohen was denounced as a “fraud” by some critics ahead of his testimony, and has been a vocal critic of Mr. Trump since he ceased to serve as Mr. Trump’s lawyer.
“Trump 2024?” Cohen said In a TikTok video from last month. “He looks like Trump when he was 20 to 24 years old.
On Friday, Judge Marchan asked New York prosecutors to instruct Cohen to stop commenting about the case and Trump before taking the stand. Mr. Cohen, unlike Mr. Trump, was not subject to a gag order in the case.

Fox News contributor and constitutional expert Jonathan Turley called Cohen a “serial perjurer” who profited from the case, a sentiment echoed by other legal experts.

Monday’s court hearing comes after President Trump held a large rally in historically blue New Jersey on Saturday, and the 45-hour president said “more than 100,000” people showed up to support him on Wildwood Beach. He said he joined.
