President Trump visited Las Vegas on Saturday afternoon to discuss his agenda for American workers and highlight his “no tax on tips” policy as the first week of his second term.
Speaking from the Circa Resort and Casino, Trump appealed to Sin City's countless hospitality workers during his speech.
“Workers who rely on tips [as] Your income, your tips, will be 100% yours,” Trump said.
The Republican, who had previously touted the policy as a 2024 campaign promise, also addressed Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo during his speech and asked him candidly about how important the issue would be during the November election. .

“Do you think it affected the election?” Trump asked. “What, half a point? That's pretty big… More than 4 million workers rely on tip income, including an estimated 700,000 single mothers.”
“And here in Nevada…think about it. A quarter of the typical restaurant worker's pay comes from tips. I didn't know that,” Trump continued.
The president then addressed the affected workers as “some of the very citizens who were hit hard and hard by the destruction of the Biden economy that was inflation.”
